Welcome to Module 2!

You’re likely raring to go with your new idea. Fantastic!

Make sure you come and share with the community so we can share in that excitement!

It’s tempting to want to immediately start selling - I get it, that’s where the money is.

But doing so will be i) very difficulty or ii) very expensive or iii) both.

Sure we’ll be able to snag some sales if we just launch some ads but we won’t be setting ourselves up for a sustainable life changing business.

Instead let’s harness the excitement and channel it outwards to the world by building an Audience.

We’ll first build an Audience and then convert them into a Tribe before presenting our Offer and generating revenue.

It’s a more extended process but will allow us to increase our chance of success and build a sustainable business.

Sounds good? Let’s kick off.

There are many different ways you can build an audience online.

The primary channels are social media - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn, X/Twitter etc.

There are also channels like Google Search via SEO or even Amazon via publishing Kindle books.

We’re going to focus on X/Twitter as our primary channel.

It’s the simplest and fastest place to grow an Audience.

Let’s quickly explore why this is the case.

Text first

X/Twitter is primarily text based. This means that we can avoid the complexities of having to create imagery or videos. Both of these generally require you to be good on camera which is a skill not everyone has.

Text levels the playing field because it’s accessible to all, regardless of your natural on-screen charisma, native language, recording set up and other factors than could get in the way of getting started.

Believe me, I’ve tried to get students and clients on camera before and it’s a hell of an uphill battle!

Aligned with ChatGPT

Added to this is the fact that ChatGPT is text based. This means that it’s a natural fit for working on X/Twitter.

Text based AIs like ChatGPT give us an unfair advantage on the platform.

Organic growth

Finally, it’s still possible to organically build an audience on X/Twitter. Even without spending cash.

Other platforms like Facebook and Instagram are basically pay-to-play now. You need to run advertising and have a budget to make any headway.

X/Twitter on the other hand actually pays its creators through its revenue sharing scheme. No other platform works like this, making it an exciting place to build an audience.

Note: For the rest of this course we’ll refer to Twitter as X. Because that’s what it’s called now! You’ll notice that I use “Twitter” in the prompts. Why? Because ChatGPT doesn’t know about the name change!

In this Module we’ll cover:

  • Locking down our niche

  • Creating content

  • Engaging with other accounts

  • Growth

Let’s get started with carving out our place online.
