The purpose of this Module is to get you started on your AI journey.

If you are already comfortable with using ChatGPT you can go ahead and skip this and move straight to Module 1 where we get stuck into the core material.

If you are brand new though or want a recap of the basics then this Module 0 is for you.

The idea is to bring everyone up to the same base level knowledge so we don’t hit knowledge gaps later on.

If you haven’t yet delved into AI then this chart is important:

When you first use a tool like ChatGPT the natural reaction is “my gods this is spectacular - it can do everything…I’m never going to need to work again!”

This is excited overconfidence - that feeling of invincibility that comes from discovering something so new and exciting.

It’s natural don’t worry!

However, the more you use ChatGPT the more you may find this confidence is betrayed.

You’ll start to notice that sometimes its responses are too generic.

Sometimes it’ll forget earlier parts of your conversation.

Sometimes it’ll simply make stuff up!

Lots of people get to this point and give up. They throw their hands up and declare “ChatGPT is trash. AI is overhyped. Nothing will come of this!”

They walk away and tell other people how bad this whole AI thing is.

At this point I love to pull up this image:

The internet had a similar period. People had tried it and found certain parts annoying or not matching the hype. So they bounced off it, declaring it to be a fad.

Oops.

Instead when you hit the (real!) annoyances of using AI it’s important that you push through.

By doing so you learn what AI is actually good for. And what it’s not good for.

This is a maturation of your understanding.

AI is a tool - and like every tool we need to learn what are its best uses. We don’t use a hammer to remove a screw. We don’t use a screwdriver to knock a nail into a wall.

OK…fine…maybe I’ve done both of these DIY travesties before. But the point stands! Use the right tools for the right job.

In AI once we realise what we can best use AI for we can move to educated and even excited confidence.

And this is a confidence that comes from knowledge, not naivety.

My goal is always to move newbies as quickly as possible through this chart, avoiding the dreaded betrayed confidence dip!

If AI and prompting is new to you then this Module 0 is a primer in the basics. I won’t get deep into the theory because, frankly, we don’t need it for anything practical.

Instead we’ll be covering topics that will make you a better prompt engineer and therefore a better Prompt Entrepreneur.

If you know this stuff already I’d say it’s still worth the recap. And you may even pick up some tips and tricks.
