A study of 1,000 readers found they couldn't reliably distinguish AI-written stories from human authors - they got three wrong, couldn't decide on two others, and even mistook established author Robin Hobb's work for AI. Meanwhile, 80% of readers thought another human author's work was AI-generated, showing how good AI writing has become.
