Sam Altman posted a Death Star image to promote GPT-5, positioning OpenAI as having a world-destroying super weapon. Google fired back with X-wing fighters attacking the Death Star, basically calling themselves the rebels and OpenAI the evil empire. The whole thing is pretty ridiculous since Google isn't exactly a scrappy underdog fighting the machine.
