China just made AI education mandatory for all students age 6 and up, with a three-year plan requiring 10 class hours per year. While first graders learn about everyday AI applications, by fifth grade kids are studying neural networks and decision trees, and middle schoolers are covering the entire AI workflow from data preparation to model training.
